Big Ten Inch consists of six friends, musicians,
and fans of
the greatest rock band in the world, AEROSMITH. Formed in late
2001 after a local "open mic nite" in Stafford Ct. hosted by
Big Ten Inch's own Mack McLaughlin. B.T.I. was born under the
idea that a tribute band should be more than "just another act".
From the sound of the instruments, to the look of the players, to
the groove of the music, it should all capture the essence of
those being paid homage to. What more fun and challenging
band could there be than that of the "world renowned" AEROSMITH,
who at the time were reaching new heights with the newly released
"Just Push Play" album and a multi-million dollar contract with
"Chevy" trucks.
The Big Ten Inch act was quickly filling rooms
in Connecticut
and Massachusettes, even on short notice. "The name AEROSMITH just
draws them in", says Dave Mercier, lead guitar for the band. "As
long as the people know Big Ten Inch is coming, you can expect a mob!
It's truly an amazing spectacle!"
Big Ten Inch-A Tribute to AEROSMITH, performs all the greatest
hits of the "Bad Boys from Boston" both past and present. Favorites
such as "Toys in the Attic", "Train Kept A-Rollin", and
the timeless
"Dream On", to more recent hits like "Love in an Elevator",
"Rag Doll"
and the eroticly undertoned "Pink". Add in a few of those sleeper
favorites and it all makes for one exciting show!
With 30+ years of great music to chose from,
it's easy to see why
AEROSMITH was the act of choice for Big Ten Inch. "They're my favorite
band. I've been going to see them for years", says guitarist Mack
McLaughlin. "We couldn't have picked a better band for this project.
Aerosmith is just good old American rock and roll at it's finest!"
